Every now and again we are compelled to set aside business to address more pressing issues, and Hurricane Harvey presents one of those moments. Fairway has branches in all 50 states including Louisiana, and corporate offices throughout Texas, so as you may imagine we have been receiving a steady stream of emails related to Hurricane Harvey.
In typical Fairway fashion, our leadership has stepped up to ensure that business continues uninterrupted; that people in areas impacted by the storm have access to our concierge servicing team to answer questions and address issues related to insurance and property damage on loans we service and have sold to others for servicing; and of course to make sure our own team members in affected areas are safe and supported.
According to the American Red Cross, financial donations, not goods, are what is most needed right now. In the coming weeks supplies may also be requested, but currently with roads washed out and travel restricted there is no way to even get deliveries of goods to the people that need them.
As a company we have a means of donating through our Fairway Foundation to support those in our Fairway family who have been impacted. If you are interested in a making a donation to the American Red Cross, according to them you can do so in the following ways: Help people affected by Hurricane Harvey by visiting redcross.org, calling 1- 800-RED CROSS or texting the word HARVEY to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
In lending news, we are heading into the final weekend of summer, back to school, and a busy fall market. If you or a client have a question about your current mortgage, are thinking of moving, or are in full on search mode and need a pre-approval, please get in touch, we are here to help!
