The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has increased the conforming loan limit for Fannie and Freddie mortgages for 2019. After not increasing the limit for ten years from 2006-2016, this will mark the third year in a row that the limit has increased.
The loan limit will rise from the 2018 total of $453,100 to a new total of $484,350. This 6.9% increase will take effect in most of the United States, with exclusions in some areas. For a county-by-county breakdown of the new conforming loan limits, click here.
